Hi everyone, I have been making maps and doing small coding works such as making Lizard Troopers shoot out lasers etc for years, but I want to take that next big step which I have wanted to do for ages which is create a TC. Well... half a TC lol, and I do not plan to release it publicly, but I want to create something like this to be able to tell myself I can do it, and maybe create a TC one day and release it to all of you guys to enjoy, but hey, you gotta start somewhere, right? I have three main questions to ask and here they are:
1. If there is a tutorial that tells me all the info I need, give me a link plz
2. Where do I begin, Coding, Mapping, WHERE?!?
3. Where are good places to get things such as skyboxes, textures and models for free?
I am NOT releasing this as I mentioned above and this is just my way of introducing myself to creating them and hopefully one day I will release a TC for everyone to enjoy, but for now this is where I must begin. May seem noobish, but you have gotta start somewhere.

Mapping: http://infosuite.dukerepository.com/
Con: http://wiki.eduke32.com/
Models: http://www.blackrayne.net/
http://gfx-3d-model.blogspot.com/
Skyboxes and textures: http://www.google.com/ (just Google skyboxes etc)
This doesn't really tell you where to start but they are good sites that you can benefit from in the end.

A good source for Skyboxes and Textures is Wadfather (hosted on planethalflife.com).. but with IGN's recent change in hosting policy I'm not sure if it's still there.. or even if it still exists.

Thanks, I found a great Coding tutorial on Duke Repository and a pack with 30 skyboxes which suits me well and that BlackRayne site is great

Turbosquid.com is also an excellent resource for free models (just click on "lower prices" to see the free ones)
