The Coronavirus a/k/a COVID-19 corner.

#331

Well, I live in a sate that takes this too seriously so masks have been a requirement for a couple of months and probably will for the rest of the year. Mind you, it doesn't seem to have done much, I still see tons of people around without them on. Hell, I've seen store employees, on-duty ignore it. Not that I think it matters much at this point, sure it stops the coughers and the sneezers from spreading it if they got it, but people touch their masks and faces so much they're probably still going to screw someone over through incidental contact. The only time I've heard someone complaining about anything in regards to this is someone saying I was too close when I was 6 feet away and we were both wearing masks. You know, the thing we're supposed to wear when we can't stay 6 feet away.
If this was as bad as people were hyping it up to be, we'd be in deep trouble right now.

all this 'social distancing', forcing things to close, forcing people to stay home is not to prevent the disease from spreading. It's only designed to slow down the spread, not stop it. The intent was to keep the health care system from being overwhelmed. Flatten the curve.
The government doesn't care if you die, just do it in an orderly fashion is all they ask.

I just heard last night that 60% of covid deaths in Pennsylvania were in nursing homes because their idiot Health Director told them they had to take in infected seniors. Or was she smart and saw a way to curb the rising costs of caring for the elderly? Either way, the Director looks and sounds like a very ugly cross-dressing guy. I just had to throw that in there. ;) The icing on the cake was that she removed her own mother from a nursing home when making that lame-brained decision to force the sick in there.

Today I had my High Treason moment. I wanted to go into Walmart to get some cat food. It was real crowded so I parked in a far corner of the lot. As I approached the doors, A and B, there was an employee directing people in and out. Usually you can enter or leave from any door but now they have them split. Enter at A, exit at B. I actually wanted to walk along the sidewalk to enter door C which is about 100ft further down. The employee ( purple X ) runs out to me and says I have to enter at door A. I told him politely that I am heading over to door C. He insisted that I can't and must enter door A. I then said "Why? Look at all those other people walking in that other door." He replied "I'm just doing as I was instructed. You must use this door. But if you wish, you can enter A, exit B and then walk over to C." I said "Do you realize how stupid that is. I guess I'll spend my money at the Pick and Save store instead. Have a good day" I suppose I could have just ignored him and continued walking in the parking lot towards door C but a non-thinking sheep like that might actually make a big deal out of it and cause me hassles with security. So I just went to the other store instead.

How was he controlling the sidewalk?

I heard about this. Crazy how the media completely glosses over this, but Republican governors keep making front page news.

He had a tape barrier around the entrance and exit doors and was giving verbal instructions to every person heading towards "his" doors. At the time I attempted to walk past him I was still in the parking lot and not on the sidewalk. He had to leave the sidewalk and run out to me, maybe 15 feet, and tell me I had to enter thru his door only. The rest is in the previous post so I don't have to repeat it.

Dream on. The left is into mudslinging mode, for election 2020, see below.

They forgot; peeps are no longer there to see it, or it is for the benefit of the Covid-19 dead to see and ponder. After all, just because one died does not mean one is of the voters list. ;)

My latest worry is this push for states to hand out many millions more absentee ballots this fall, giving the chance for voter fraud to outweigh vote gains from Trump's success. Also, are the felons who the Dems released from prison during the crisis going to be allowed to vote now? And, even though its not making the news, I assume the fight in courts against State voter ID laws are continuing to erode confidence in the system.

I 'm no longer feeling as confident of a Trump victory like I was last year.

Considering the ongoing economical damage enforced by the local government, in the name of this Covid-19-Con, I'd suggest: Any one hiding in their homes should be excluded from voting privileges. Anyone still enforcing totalitarian rules should also hide in their home now, as they preach, and be ineligible to run for office.

If you are afraid of living as a free human, fine, go to Europe. They need more chickens there. Free food and a daily fuck provided by Brussels in return for your eggs.

His bias allows him to see the truth; The media is biased to the left. Andrew Breitbart exposed this many years ago and pushed it to the head you see today.

The curve has been flattened for a month. It was never that steep in the first place. Even where it was 'extreme' they never used their field or floating hospitals. The health care system is at no risk of being overwhelmed.
yet govs still have their states on lock down and the media keeps fear mongering
never let a crisis go to waste

Maybe but my entire family was bedridden for weeks in November/December from a mysterious sickness similar to cold and flu. My girlfriend had terrible pneumonia for a month because of it. We get packages from China fairly often (zentai suits, wigs, fabrics, etc) I dunno man.

Russia also had pretty noticeable pneumonia spark in Central region (as well as in some others, but Central Russia was affected the most since it's very close to China, Chinese love to visit Siberia and closest regions of Russia) which was even reported by local major TV channel owned by the government. In fact, they even had to put schools on lockdown and hospitals were full of ill people. Also, Siberia is starting to recover from the virus much faster compared to other regions, supposedly because they were, again, significantly affected back in November the first among the rest of regions.

Here is a thing from November report.

To understand at least something put auto-generated subs on.

NY City on lock down
in order to start the re-opening process in NY state, counties/districts/regions are required to have at least 30% available capacity in their health care system
There's an unused field hospital in Brooklyn
the gov & mayor decided to close it
that puts their available system below 30%
so they can continue their lock down
their offices are unreachable for comment

Also NY gov:
-we need to open ny city sports facilities
-we need sports to entertain us and give us an outlet during these difficult times

bread and circuses

NYC is dead. Huge city with big government calling the shots. Including sports allowance. Governmint lost cash on sports betting. Don’t even think for one second anyone gives a flying fuck about the little peeps.

Happy Memorial Day. Peeps can't honor those that died for the US, with a parade or something, because they may get sick.

It's left-wing race-baiting and riot mentality, and it works every time. All it takes is the endless coverage of 1 interacial murder to trigger it. Completely ignore the fact that 90% of black murder is black on black. They're hellbent on sowing misplaced and undeserved distrust in American society.

And before anyone casts aspersions, I believe George Floyd was murdered and I'm glad the 4 officers with him were fired.

my initial impression is that G. Floyd was the victim of police brutality & the officers involved should be arrested & charged. They are entitled to due process, even if they didn't give Floyd his.

but we're just going to ignore the elephant in the room on why they're destroying everything not a police department:
Minneapolis is Ilhan Omar's district & is home to the largest somali immigrant population in the US

Trump's post on twitter was deleted
Attached Image: trump-tweet.jpg
the original text was
"These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won't let that happen, Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"

Looks like twitter is in favour of looting ;)

It's time to revoke section 230 protections for platforms that censor freedom of thought, which was originally designed to protect content providers from being treated as publishers, not to protect overt publishers from infringement that would apply to any publisher.

I think this is what Twitter wants. Playing super sensor with the excuse, that they have too, since they are liable now.
Nah. Just give them a taste of their own medicine, delete this shit, and move on to GAB. (Yes, I know, has a bad reputation, but freedom of speech ain't always pretty.)

If the threat of looming lawsuits becomes great enough, they would be forced to censor the platform to the point where it practically becomes unusable. I think that's what the goal is.

I agree about revoking 230 priviledges. I also think we should be enforcing the removal of tax exemptions of churches that preach politics from the pulpit. And not allow corporations that receive federal money to contribute to politicans.

And on a lighter note. The large midwest theatre chain that I would go to every weekend said they plan on reopening late June, early July. I'm really jonesing for a big bucket of popcorn and the large screen.

What's the principle behind this? It's very difficult to avoid politics in church when church is political, religion is political, and the Bible is political.
