player aim/crosshair position after center/crouch/jump  "known issue or non-issue?"

After the first (and maybe following) crouch, center view, and jump actions, the player's vertical aim, or position(?), or the crosshair position(?) is not exactly restored.
Most notable difference after crouching:

Example map with suitable starting point and higher resolution screenshots attached. To replicate, run "eduke32 -map crosshair.map".
- First keypress: F12 for a screenshot.
- Next: one of the aforementioned actions
- Take new screenshot to compare
IIRC I once read something about aiming precision issues...
If it's an actual bug it must be very, very old. My oldest available build, r16, already shows similar or identical behaviour.

It's the Z position that is different in the screenshots

Have you tested in the DOS version? Quite sure the game was always weird with the player Z. The same is true even for the map editor...

Edit:

If the aiming isn't affected, as you imply, I guess it's more of a non-issue, then. Just wanted to be sure about it.
