Start the game in Polymost, start E1L2, go into the first bathroom with one toilet, and make sure the door is open.
Then switch to Polymer. If done right, the floor and ceiling texture disappear and are replaced with the skybox.
This does not occur if you started the map in Polymer or switch to Polymer before opening the door to this room. It does not occur if the door is closed when switching renderer.
Tested with r8533 and appears to go back to the earliest versions of eduke32 that had the Polymer renderer.

As was said on the Discord, it's because once the door opens the sector geometry becomes invalid. It's documented on the wiki too
