In 2000 to 2002 i mapped daily with Build but after that i went on to newer editors and games so i lost
most if not all my skills with Build (Eduke32).
But now that i play Ion Fury i am back in to Eduke32.
Am looking at numerous mapping video tuts and written tuts and find almost all that i need. But i still
seem to get in to small issues that i can't find answers for. I hope people here will help me. I will
probably keep coming back here asking more and more.
- For now i have only this question, i know that 4,2,6,8 and 5 scale a texture but how do i shift it to a side, above or below?
I mean, how do i make the texture go left, right, up or down?
- And how do i scale floor and or ceiling textures? Because with 4,2,6,8 and 5 i don't scale them but i only shift them to a side?
thanks for now and soon i probably have some more noob questions.

This website is probably the most comprehensive resource. Video tutorials aren't common.
To shift a wall texture hold down ALT while pressing the numpad keys to pan it.
Floor and ceiling tile sizes aren't scalable like wall textures are. Your only option is to press E on the ceiling/floor tile to double the resolution.

We have another thread for mapping questions. Take a look in there. There is a lot of good info.
