I did know that, but I never understood why. So I looked at the wikipedia page, and it's got a mountain of mathematical probability theory. Statistics and probability are not my forte, but luckily I'm allowed to take in some sheets of notes with all the formulas in tomorrow's exam

The important thing to note is that it's not 50% that you will share a birthday, but some two people in the group.

It's a pretty fun fact. I had a prof who would always test it first day of class (when he had a large enough class).

Well there might be some more bots, because now there are 17 birthdays on the front page, all in the 23-26 age range.

Practice makes perfect
It was actually my birthday 2 days ago. It's not listed on the forums and I keep forgetting to mention it, even to half my friends :S
I don't normally make a big deal out of it.

I know that you dont visit this forum often nowadays, but this way I want to thank you and Awesoken for your great work!
Without your effort we wouldnt be using eduke32 now. Jfduke was my first port of Duke and it still holds dear place.
Without it I wouldnt find eduke32 later. And without Ken's polymost there wouldnt be Plagman's polymer.
I thank you for your contributions for Duke community, they wont be forgotten.

Umm what? Polymer has absolutely nothing to do with polymost; it was completely written from scratch. Plagman didn't even use polymost as a reference. If anything if there wasn't polymost there would have been a much greater need for an openGL renderer and Plagman might have finished/optimised polymer sooner
