Can't upvote/downvote

If I press the button I receive the following message, "Action failed: You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day," even though I haven't made any previous votes. Help pls.

You're too new a member to use the voting system. IIRC you have to make 50 posts first but I could be wrong. Nobody pays much attention to the reputation anyway.

I think that's why i'm facing the same issue, because i'm also a new member and want to upvote an answer. But now i get why i'm facing this issue.
