Blizzard is looking for a dungeon artist to work on a new Diablo project.
Does this mean Diablo 4 confirmed? Or at least a new D3 addon? Maybe a D2 remaster?
Speculations please, ladies and gentlemen! After the very disappointing handling of D3 recently (which basically equals a complete neglect of the game by Blizzard), it's really about time something is happening again. Just launching one season after another cannot be what the game was meant to be considering how the folks at Blizzard take care of all their other products.

They promised us three expansions for Diablo 3.
Diablo 4 was "confirmed" months ago, however.

The original Diablo team migrated onto a game called Torchlight.

And then they moved on to create the jewel that was Torchlight 2. And before they could make a third (which they actually refused to do), Runic went bankrupt.

Well, by now we all know it was for a mobile game, I guess. And it still makes me angry and sad. But on the bright side, we saw the birth of the "Is this an out-of-season April fool's joke" meme. For that alone it was all worth it.

It was clearly something shareholders wanted to see. Why the developers were so excited about it is beyond me. How can you be that out of touch?

Didn't they just sell Heros of the Storm xp upgrade paks for the next year, then turn around and put that game in "maintenance-status" where it gets almost no support?
Must be nice to have so much money that you don't give a shit about customers.

They're not out of touch, they're in touch. With their phones.
Spoiler

China Syndrome.
The next big market. Get ready for a lot of censored games.

You get a downvote for that.

There's a lot of negative publicity for Blizzard lately in general. The total disaster regarding Diablo at Blizzcon, anoymous insider leaks about Activision taking more and more financial control, reduction of stuff in Ireland customer support, generous offers to employees (full annual salaries) to make them leave voluntarily...
It's all adding up. This company is trying desperately to become more cost-efficient and shifts focus more and more on what promises quick cash, not what customers want. Normally we'd all say: Well, standard business. But it's Blizzard we're talking about. They used to be different. Used to be.
