BloodGDX being detected as malware by Windows Defender

When I open BloodGDX, I get a message that says its malware. It can still run and this only applies to the latest version. I get an option to review what files were detected but when I click it, nothing happens because somehow, Windows Defender broke a few months ago.

EDIT: Here's the logfile, if that helps.

I'm not being paranoid, but I was just noting that BloodGDX is being detected as malware.

EDIT: Based on TerminX's reply below, what I mean by Defender being broken is that the window for Defender won't open.

I think he's saying Defender is paranoid, not you.

I wonder if the obfuscated code has anything to do with it?

I'm exactly don't know, but I think it can.
BloodGDX can send only logfile to ftp after crash, but I don't know, can firewalls see this feature as virus :(

Anyway I'm interested too, which part of the app can be a malware :blink:o_O

That might be it... try using a different library to handle the ftp connections.

Sgt Nate V , BTW, try to disable "new version check". Then BloodGDX will not connect to ftp at start, maybe it helps

I was really just noting that. It didn't prevent me from playing.

Really, if Windows Defender thinks BloodGDX is malware, then that's a Windows Defender issue that needs to be reported to their devs. Often, programs get detected as malware simply because it's an uncommonly used app that does things that throws up red flags for the antivirus.

This does not necessarily mean that BloodGDX is doing anything wrong, or needs to be redesigned.

My PC's have windows defender as main antivirus. But why WDefenders on differents PCs working so different? It's not detecting bloodgdx as malware
