Interceptor Dead?

Interceptors web page displayed for a couple of weeks a message about contacting the host and now seems to be completely dead?

http://www.intercept...ertainment.com/

Does anyone know what is happening here? Seems very unprofessional to let your official site die. I hope the worse case scenario has not happened!

Is Interceptor as a brand even anything meaningful now that they're basically 3D Realms?

A quick glance at Linkedin shows a number of leads left Interceptor in November (Chris Pollitt and Leon Zawada).

Both twitter and facebook profiles have no new posts since 23.12 and sending out last Rad Rodgers Kickstarter rewards.

They went bankrupt late 2016.

http://www.konkurser...nkurs/?id=74573

Basically they filled for bankruptcy 12.12.2016.

Fred also removed ''Founder of Interceptor Entertainment'' from his Facebook.

His linkedin profile about Interceptor is written in past tense such as ''we also had a number of original titles in our pipeline, based on new and innovative IP's''

So yes, they are dead.

However, it seems as if 3DR is alive. :P

This news sucks.

Rott remake may have not pleased me but damn.. Interceptor were an dev with proper attitude and they seemed to get more qualifying/experienced with their latest game, Rad Rogers.

So, no more Rad Rodgers? Oh noooo! :P

They made 3 rather mediocre games, and while I cherish Fred's enthusiasm for all things Apogee, this definitely wasn't enough to keep them afloat it seems. Hope that the new 3DR will survive longer. But it seems there's a lot of silence from them, too... where's my mobile Major Stryker?

Sad to hear. :P

Though I never played Bombshell (DIdn't like the character in that iteration nor the genre) I hoped they'd stay afloat.

My very personal opinion is that they went the wrong route with their games. They were too serious in tone (Rad Rodgers aside). I felt that ROTT was just a remake that would have benefitted from being a reboot with a less serious tone. Gameplay, story and general feel slightly altered so that it is more over the top. And it should have a unique gameplay mechanic to make it stand out (like DooM 2016 and the Shadow Warrior reboots had*).
I feel the same about Bombshell. The character seems completely bland to me. Make her over the top and do so with the gameplay.

*) And notice how both went over the top with their gameplay?

I never heard of Rad Rodgers before. I just watched a gameplay video and it looks like a cool and solid game. It´s too bad they took so long to polish a style. As for Rott and Bombshell, i never felt attracted to them. They felt wrong in every aspect, specially Bombshell. :/

Dookie joke is bad in this thread for some reasons...

Now I wonder what happens about their games? Since 3DR still on there so maybe it's not totally lost? :P

Gotta say I'm glad I didn't buy Rad Rodgers (assuming it's dead with Interceptor too). Never trust early access, never.

I'm not sure as Fred still reply posts on the game's discuss section on Steam, too early to say it's dead if you ask me... :P
(And without any announcements or something to declare it's dead)

So I actually a little confusing about the whole shit.

Well, RR was a joint effort of Interceptor (devs) and 3DR (publishers), and probably we should have seen the writing on the wall when they decided to Kickstart their new game.

Emphasis on assuming, m8. But yeah, your last sentence is a good description for this situation. I wonder when Fred notice this thread and resolve this confusion.

I'd think that if the parent company dies (Interceptor), so do their branches (3D Realms), which was to my understanding just a brand name with no separate employees anyway.

RIP interceptor, the capstone software of modern games.

Speaking of capstone, they ceased to exist when their parent company (IntraCorp) went bankrupt in 1996, so...

This is not the structure that these companies have.

Interceptor Entertainment ApS is Fred's company, which SDN Invest (Mike Nielsen) has a stake in.

Apogee Software, Ltd. was bought by SDN Invest and is now 3D Realms Entertainment ApS.

Rad Rodgers ApS also exists.

Not dead guys. We're doing some restructuring atm, which is why we haven't announced anything official yet. Something is going on, which is not necessarily bad - but Interceptor as you knew it is changing 🙂 I'll give you guys a proper update once we're ready.

Not entirely correct - Interceptor and 3DR were owned by a parent company, in which the 4 owners each had a 25% stake.

Why? The game released on Early Access and officially released not too long after, and also got a post-launch patch.

Interceptor Dead?

Can we be sure if they truly existed in the first place? I gotta say, I was skeptical of the details from the beginning. I mean, has anyone ever heard of this so-called "Denmark" place before?

Can part of the restructuring be replacing whoever does your marketing because Rad Rodgers and Bombshell had basically zero publicity anywhere while Rise of the Triad was advertised rather thoroughly.

Wow, I haven't even noticed that. Might get it then, but isn't it short? "World One" in name doesn't seems to be promising.

Other than the details of stakeholding that weren't present in press releases on the matter, that is what I said.

Sure must be some interesting restructuring for the ApS to file for bankruptcy and have your official website expire and sit dead for weeks..

As a fan it would be great to get some kind of further information..
