What happened to part 2 of Tom Hall's design tips?

"Join us next week in Part 2 of the Tom Hall Design Tips!"

Yes, but the majority of these things have been given the "when it's done" treatment. "Tom Hall Design Tips Part 2" was promised a week after the first (according to the article, it said tune in next week for part 2).

Beta/development related question of sorts that just hit me.

Who came up with the Nuke Logo for the introduction? Who's idea was that? When did it get added into the game? It's just such an iconic thing that i've always loved. It's about as iconic in my little world as the James Bond gun barrel.

I don't know who came up with it, but I do know that it was added in a couple weeks (or less) before 1.3D came out!

I would guess Stephen Hornback did the logo, but I don't know that for sure. He did the 3D Realms Logo, which was a related style and texture etc.

Cool man, I never knew Stephen Hornback did the 3DR logo. The more you know.

I learned this only in the last few years when he stated it directly either on a forum I frequent, or might have been in one of the Gearbox video interviews. If I remember I will post a link. Again, I am only speculating about the Nuke Symbol.

Pretty sure he stated that on his website with the actual 3DR logo in "high res"

EDIT: https://web.archive....k.com/id69.html on the archive, but none of the images work anymore, it's listed on there somewhere.

What's that, a revision of the level before the ceiling height swallowed the text or the expected release date?

Good, I can meet up with him without clashing with my Marty McFly 2015 Hill Valley meeting.

I have some questions that I hope can be answered:

- What were the unused Assault Trooper frames (art ID 1700 - 1704) used for? Were they older attack animations, or were they for the "Firelaser" moving upward frames (art ID 1644 - 1645)?

- Was tile 511 ever actually added to the chapel in Death Row?

- Was the "futuristic car" (art ID 730 - 733) a nod to Total Recall, and was it meant for Ep2 or Movie Set?

-What were the projectiles from art ID 1660 - 1669 for?

That image doesn't explain its use.

Yes. It was used for the window on the right in v1.3d I'm pretty sure. Why they changed it for 1.5 I don't know. It looked better originally.
