AOL owns a bunch of HIGHLY successful publications including Huffington post, Engadget, Autoblog, TechCrunch, and more.

What's the most efficient way to silence your critics when it comes to legislation, WHILE bringing more money to the table?

Think about it. Verizon is great at doing shady shit while staying under the radar. Comcast is fucking clumsy about it.

First, it seems that AOL is trying to spin off Huffington Post.

Second, even if they lock down these properties with the intent of silencing critics, they can't get rid of the people behind these ventures. They'll simply move onto other projects, which is why I always find it stupid when tech and biz giants try to erase negative perspectives on the Internet. The Streisand effect is very, very real.

No, this is good. Microsoft will buy everything good, screw it up, and then force a market crash. Rebirth will fix everything...

I assume they will make their money back easily by licensing it to other people.

Has someone yet bought Funcom (Anarchy Online, The Secret World, The Park)? Seems like they're dying and I'd want to play TSW in the future too.

Oh the fucking irony. The corporation that is notorious for trying to copyright and sue over use of generic names like "Skeleton King", buying the one that tried to copyright and sue over the use of the word "Saga", the one word that is used in pretty much every second game/movie/book title ever.

Holy tech bubble. 6 billion? They're a bunch of greasy limeys who rip off other people's IP, then sue the original creators.

According to the report, Microsoft's supposed expression of interest to acquire Twitter is in part a play to drive up the price to keep Salesforce, a cloud computing company, from buying it.

Twitter is fucking worthless. It can't generate ad revenue worth a fuck and the assets are zilch. At least Facebook is a revenue generator.

Twitter serves the Hivemind and strengthens the would be Global Citizens.

I don't have Twatter or Fecebook.

No mention of Monsanto and Bayer in here?

Lots of keywords in so little time.

Should I worry their games would disappear from GOG? Gearbox obviously removed Duke 3d, but that was more of an exception, I think. No Microsoft games on GOG, though.
