Kill City  "An epic city map"

Hello guys.

It's been a long time since I released a standard Duke 3D map. So here it is!

You're on an important mission from EDF. Hit the streets of LA an kick some alien ass!
It took me three months to complete this map. I also used some special tricks. Hope you'll enjoy it.

I don't recommend playing this map with HRP (You can choose any renderer, though). Oh, and don't forget to turn on the music, I included a kickin' music track for this map.

Sorry, no DM or Coop... yet.

Excellent.
As usual, what I would expect from a map, is not in it, but what I would never dream to find, I find in yours. I'll comment more later, but this may be a true spoiler for others.

It's a good map, perhaps the best of its kind. The organtic behavior was odd and well-utilized.

Just played it, can´t tell how much time it took me because I didn´t look at the score screen :)

I liked this map, it has a cool and clean design which reminded me Mikko´s maps and, to some degree, the recently released Metropolitan Mayhem. What makes it outstand above your other projects is that, this time, you come with an original idea, and it is well executed. I would have expected it to be longer, and to visit more locations, and well... those lines weren´t exactly of my taste. But overall it was a pleasant change from things like The Stairwell.

Liked the new effects too! EDIT: Indeed, the organtic sprite was a good discovery. But it was visible. Does it still work if you set its flag to invisible?

Great map! I had a blast playing it! It's amazing how much personality can be revealed through a user map and I'd say you're definitely not lacking in that department! Awesome Job! Just for the record I got to the end of the map on Let's Rock with 4 shottie bullets to spare and 5 health. Just barely made it to see the end. =P

Just played it, it was pretty good. Certainly by far the largest city map I've played for a while. One thing I didn't like; it was too serious. This is Duke Nukem 3D, not CoD, would it kill you to include at least one joke? Posted Image

Found it quite amusing, could someone show me the full extent of the Polymer joke?

This map was hilarious.

I couldn't figure out what was going on in that window above the start point. It looked like a monkey violating a dog rather aggressively.

Many lols were had :) Great stuff, and a pretty refreshing change of pace from the dark/horror-themed stuff you've been doing lately (not that that wasn't good too).

I'm not gonna lie, it took me one day to make this map.

This explains why it is so short and why I found similarities with some MM maps

Haha I liked that very much, well played sir! Although it's a shame this map treated me very unfairly:

Did you base the "wet floor" effect off the club in MRCK's Happy Hangover or did you do it differently?

Check it out in Build, it's pretty cool and definitely not what you'd expect.

LOL, Eddy really knows what April jokes are. Maybe the most humorous map I ever played. With all those animated sequences, taunts and free blows, I found it really amusing, and the soundtrack adds to the feel as well. Also the "wet floor" effect was impressive, it was something totally new to me. Still all those Organtic sprites affect the total number of enemies, but since this level can't be finished in the usual way (that is, you die instead of seeing the bonus screen), it doesn't really matter. In short, awesome work, especially if we keep in view that it was made within a single day. So do you have any Duke maps in the making, Eddy?

Wow, I can see that monkey raping a dog too :)
Really imaginative interpretation of the glass texture with a blinking eye behind.

Thanks
I'm working at some secret survival horror project. Although I have a lot of ideas, the development goes painfully slow.

Wait, what's with all these trooper users on this page?
There are three of them already... Are they taking over the duke forums?

That was a fun little map, made me laugh and the soundtrack was awesome, had one of my favorite songs in there. Not sure wether it out-did last years effort though, because that one had Moskau, which immediately makes everything better. I'll have to give it some time, this might just top it.

You're working on a survival horror project? Outrageous! I've got my new one scripted up, I will out horror you this time, I'm determined. :)
