My dad bought a windows 10 comp and I have been tasked with getting it tweaked to his liking. Win 10 is new territory for me. One of the million settings to configure includes getting his email address book into win10's default email program. I see its no longer a simple file export from old email program and import to new email program. I tried to follow Google searches on the subject and it seems like a needlessly complex way using a people app and contacts app. It didn't appear straightforward when I tried to transfer.
So can someone here cut through the clutter and make the complex easy to understand? I want to take an address book file ( IIRC its a ".wab" file ) exported from WIN98 using Outlook Express 6 and get it into the Win10 email program.
EDIT: After more searching I might want to ditch the default email program and install Windows Live Mail. It looks like that still uses the simple import/export function for address books.

Never mind. I found out that the email program I use on Win7 also works on Win10. OEClassic. Looks and runs very much like the old Outlook Express from the good old days. It has the easy to use import and export features I needed. Whew.
