Blood: One Unit Whole Blood was removed from steam and gog.
https://steamcommuni...66237662111359/

Commercial strategy i guess....
If we can still take the files to play it on another ports or dos, at least.
edit: apparently, we can't, disgusting :(

The Way of Ira v1.0 has been released. Found this one by pure accident while browsing through ModDB. Just finished the whole thing, quite enjoyable episode with your usual creepy Blood environments: dark lakes, psychiatric wards, caves, mines etc.

True that! The whole thing is really good, actually. Considering I haven't heard or read of it before, it's definitely worth playing. It also gives you a lot of chances to blow up zombie hordes with explosives or the napalm launcher, which is something I can never get enough of in Blood.

It's been a good year for Blood in general, in spite of the Fresh Supply fail. Good mods got released!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sounds like you played it as I intended.
I wanted to give enough ammo to continuously give the player an empowered feeling whilst playing in a smooth pace.
If you choose higher difficulties, of course it gets harder, but you should still have that feeling.
Blowing up hordes is also my favourite and I wanted to have enough TNT around to always be able to do that.

What I like in your gameplay philosophy is that you put ammo or powerups before bigger encounters. Before entering an area with lots of enemies, you will always find stuff like guns akimbo, reflective shots or at least ammo. That's how you avoid frustrating situations. If only this was common procedure everywhere.

But it's not only gameplay that's enjoyable, the levels themselves are also well designed and fit right into Blood's creepy scenario. In Fresh Meat 2 they took a different approach and put you in an unusual environment with Caribbean/jungle feeling, which can be refreshing, but personally I think darker and more mysterious settings just fit better.

Anyway, The Way of Ira, ladies and gents. Download, play, enjoy. Now.

NoOne just released his newest map: No Hope in Sight, compatible with NBlood only (the latest dev build)

https://www.moddb.co...e-in-sight-demo

It is basically one map with lots of custom changes, never seen in Blood before and new enemies made with his modified mapedit, named pmapedit.

Anyone else tried pitchfork-starting each level on Well Done without ever saving? It took me forever to beat the second level of the first episode like this... Gonna try beating the rest of the episode.

That extends play time. Usually 1-3 hours per level but some enemies are nuisance that way namely Phantasms and Tchernobog needs some cheap tactics as you can't avoid his flare attack.

I am almost done with SmoothBlood (weapons only for now). I am considering making own page for moddb, so it is preserved somewhere and it would be a nice platform to keep it up to date if I decide to make smooth decorations... or maybe enemies too, who knows. Anyways, here's I think the coolest sprite I've done for this project.

I never realised that Transfusion has an official license to use Blood assets (as stated here). I wonder why the project's development was halted? It seems like a lot of effort was put into making a faithful transition to true 3D.

Sorry for offtopic, but it makes me sad looking at this nice mod, that still nobody adapted your SmoothDuke pack for mod yet, Dzierzan. :/

With that pace, SmoothDarkForces for The Force Engine will be released sooner than SmoothDuke, ironic ^^.
