Google and Youtube saved the day. I researched some more this morning and hopefully found a fix good enough to last until the weather is warmer and I can dive into the furnace without a rush because of freezing cold weather.

Furnace went out again. My cheap fix lasted a week. The furnace still runs most of the time but occasionally will shut down. If it happens overnight while sleeping the temp can quickly drop 10-15 degrees. With temps below 0F I'm not taking any chances. The repair guy will be stopping by tomorrow. Parts under warranty but labor is $500 :)

The realistic CGI is a new thing, so Hollywood is experimenting with it.

The whole thing has problems, but it's mostly the eyes they screwed up that throws his looks so far off. Even this fan edit that keeps the eyes separate instead of joined like the original design looks better.

and then at this one:

He looks like a smurf with Will Smith face (badly) photoshopped in. Reminds me of superman's mustache :)

Yes, i know the genie is from just a trailer, but thanos didn't look different in the trailers, and they're both from Disney

*Looking at Sonic "leaked" pics*

Seriously, how did they think we would react by seeing this? Even Yuji Naka, co-creator of Sonic, disapproves the new look.

And also on the movie poster: From the producer of THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS, they really did it on purpose...

[sarcasm]
At least Jim Carrey as Dr. Eggman/Robotnik can only make the movie much better!

I think it's the same situation Star Trek is in right now. They're trying to make it noticeably different to differentiate "movie Sonic" from "game Sonic" likely for exclusive merchandising rights or something. They can't make anything that looks too close or they'll have to share revenue. Something like that.

I can't imagine anyone possibly buying merch dedicated to this pile of shit, not even the terrible western fanbase which doesn't play Sonic games, if anything they seems to be making their own toys for themselves. But then again, we're talking about Hollywood and Sony is run by the most retarded people on Earth.

No, nobody will. And CBS/Bad Robot were mistaken on their similar move as well. Nobody buys toys and merch from the new Star Trek. Nobody. Not even the 2009 movie. It was an attempt at cash grabbing from people ho don't understand what makes a franchise great to fans. They just expect that diehards will come in droves just because of the IP name and nothing else. They still haven't realized this with Star Trek Discovery as it has been renewed for a third season, and the people behind this Sonic movie don't seem to get it either.

I heard the "altered Spock" drew controversy.

Many commenters said leave other people's work alone etc.
Is not just the beard etc,
https://www.cnet.com...ssic-nimoy-take

Spock did have a smaller beard in TOS (1960s)
In the episode called the Mirror
