I did, only because the 3DRealms forums ended everything Duke. Feels kinda strange to me. Guess it will take time getting use to it but it won't keep me away from this site much. What about you?

Yes, 3D Realms should absolutely be recognized in the game credits. I'm pretty sure that they will be, especially considering the fact that 3D Realms is listed at the bottom of the new website and was also mentioned at the beginning of the gameplay segment that people were allowed to play at PAX.

Same deal. The old family has moved into a new house, and it seems some of the old old timers have made a return as well. So the gamut of emotions: :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Yep. Wanted to get in on the hype :D. Despite the name of this website, it feels more like a forum for Duke3D and mods rather than DNF. And it's nice to start somewhere fresh rather than go back to the 3DR forums which I wouldn't have done. Also, it seems like Joe is turning over a new leaf over there as the new Duke Nukem Community Manager. Whether he was forced to do so or chose to do so is unclear :D. Either way he's acting surprisingly tame over there.

A very smart move on Gearbox's part getting Joe. Shows the people at Gearbox do some thinking, and that kind of thinking regarding Duke Nukem can only be a good thing.

Getting paid tends to put a spring in your step and a smile on your face.

A bunch of Borderlands gamers are getting annoyed that all the Duke related posts are clogging up the New Posts section of their forums......muahahahahahahahaha

So true! And no doubt, getting paid means Gearbox might even have rules which Joe must abide.

I've not joined yet. I don't feel like doing yet another forum. I'll stick it out here for a while I think.

Won't go there. Since MSDN has moved everything I need is on Duke4.net. Independent. Uncensored.
However, the Gearbox community might save us from many dumbnuts showing up in the future. We already have enough of them IMHO.

Yep, although I joined shortly before this whole ordeal in case the Kotaku rumor would turn out to be true and well it turned out to be true. I am also really happy that Joe is back.

I've thought about it. Maybe once I own the game I'll join etc for various reasons. I won't own the game for a almost a year or more so take it as it is.

I think the reason why duke4.net feels like a Duke3D Mod forum is because that is all there is until DNF is released. There has been discussion (way more than I cared for) here about rumors and such of DNF. Grant it, the discussion didn't travel nearly as fast as the stuff on 3DR but that is because of the user count here. I think, and I hope, that once DNF is out, Duke4.net will be the place to go for mods and discussion. Here there is no "party line" which is a nice thing.

I did, I already posted an idea about a Duke convention to commemorate the release of DNF. Damn, it's good to see the king back in action.... almost. The most definitely will release it otherwise, there's no hope at all. It's definitely a pain to wait another year now that we "know" it's going to come out. Also on the 3DR site in the games section, last I checked it said "When it's done", but that was yesterday. Anyways "Hail to the king, baby!"

I registered, just to say hi to Joe.
Strange thing to see the old 3DR people at gearbox, not that gearbox did not already exist out of ex-3DR people :D

I've been a member of the Gearbox forums for over four years now, on account of the (now inactive) AliensGame.net fansite I started up.

I'm not sure if I'll use my account there very much, in the same manner that I haven't been using my 3DR forum account.

These forums are enough for me.

I could register just to make sure that my handle is kept (for some reason people do take this handle from me) but I have a few other nicknames I use online.

I feel sorry for anyone who steals my name. They will be greeted with potential hostility just for their name. Or they will be raped.

Oh the freedom on D4! I just felt the sting by Nacho over at Gearbox. I receved an infraction for 'Inappropriate Content' worth 4 points! :D

The hell with it. I'm bored at work. So I'll join right now.
