Hazard Actor Being Deleted due to LoTags used for Difficulty "My actor is being removed from the map based on LoTags"
#1 Posted 10 August 2020 - 08:25 PM
I made an actor called Hazard. It simulates hazardous environments which can do damage to someone in reality. It's something that is often times overlooked in games. Some functions of the Hazard actor use LoTags and HiTags to intensify hazards such as heat, cold, toxic gases, and radiation. The only problem is LoTags make the sprite disappear from the map completely because the LoTag controls which actors remain depending on the selected difficulty level. Even with cstat 32768 it is still deleting them from the map.
I want to know how to prevent the LoTags from removing a sprite from the map. It is possible because the music plate Danukem helped me with is not effected by the LoTag value.

Thanks that solved it.
I had to delete the "geta[].lotag HAZARD_LEVEL" line from under the actor code after I added the "eventloadactor".
Thanks again.
Here is a simple example of the Hazard Actor code
Hazard Actor Code.TXT (2.01K)
