I still haven't encountered this. Are you saying that while you are playing as Bombshell, the Duke companion bot says the line? This is a weird bug, I have looked up the sound label and number and there's nowhere in the code it is being played. The line is only supposed to be triggered by tags in maps.

Yes when playing as bombshell killing a pigcop,triggers a slowed down version of the line "nobody messes with my meat."

If I may make an suggestion for a future update, can you import the double barrel shotgun from Dukeplus (as a sprite) into AA. That thing is so nice to use and I am addicted to it.

Except it doesn't whenever I try this. :P
I can literally kill dozens of pigcops and it doesn't happen. I have tried it both with and without the Duke bot present.

This is the kind of thing that Forge would have been all over if it had happened during testing. So, since I can't find anything that would cause it in the code, and can't replicate it, there's not much I can do for you. Of course, I am running a much updated version from what you have, so it's possible that it was a bug that got fixed somehow. Seems unlikely, though.

i got the latest version from mod db so yeah could be note this also only happens withe the default pigcops.

Honestly it doesn't bug me at all I'm just letting you know it sounds like a bug

IIRC it's her own version of the line, though. I seem to remember us recording that and me including it in the voice switch code.

I dunno must be an older version thing then -shrug-

How long do i have to wait for duke or Shelly to be able to use the toilet to restore health again?

2.I keep hearing moaning girls on E2l2 Incubator but the sounds don't play anymore as i go deeper into the level. Was this intentional?

3. Does being shrunk no longer glitch you into being immune to splash damage?

I'd like to add that i seem to be having the same issue with my standard duke 3d megaton edition game wiht the "Nobody messes with my meat' line so perhaps the glitch is tied to my duke 3d.GRp or something

apparently it was related to some sound files or something related to a map I downloaded named Carmen.... so this would be a general warning to all duke 3d players make sure to clean your folder of .voc files from other maps... So it wasn't AA but something i had downloaded funny how that messed that one line up for all my duke 3d games...

If you add files to the root folder of your Megaton install then EDuke32 will use those files as well, had problems with missing textures for that reason.

Hmmm, this seems like something that could be handled better by EDuke32. Ideally, it should be using only the DUKE3D.GRP data from your Megaton folder, not using the whole Megaton folder like it was your install folder for the EDuke32 mod you are running.

A couple of smaller issues I noted: in 4:3 mode the crosshair and shots won't align if you use the default full HUD, only the ED32 special variant where the view is raised. Bombshell's weapon sprites will be drawn in the same position regardless of which full-HUD mode is used, unlike Duke's.

And though I guess I'm not supposed to do that, EDuke32 crashes upon loading a game if AA is ran with the latest snapshot.

It also feels a bit weird that the handgun and machinegun reload using different keys. I'd swap around one of them so they're the same.

Finally got a chance to play the mod continuing at Sunkcity, using the original release, maybe I can give it another try using the latest. Overall it was a really enjoyable experience, it has its minor flaws, most of them subjective appreciations of mine, anyway knowing the spontaneous nature of the project and the time constraints, any issue can be easily forgotten. This mod has given the community an invaluable source of new resources for future maps and an excuse to revisit old ones. I'm still amazed by the speed that Sebab managed to create completely new enemies and what the love for "an old game" can achieve. Keep up the good work guys!

I'll look into the 4:3 hud issue.

On the crash: dumb question, but was the save created using that same snapshot? If so, then this sounds like an EDuke32 bug that people have been reporting having to do with the format of saved games being changed recently.

EDIT: And yeah, I can confirm the crash on loading a saved game. Here's the log I get:

Given the White House map in the video you posted, is the plan to retrofit the whole of Duke it out in DC with new content, or is it just that particular level?

Considering the general improvement this mod gives on the atmosphere front, a well-fitting new content for AA-D.C. could be some survived members of the congress at Capitol Punishment, a bunch of FBI MIBs at Nuked Files and high rank USA officers on the rest.

We want AA for Nuclear Winter and Duke Caribbean now. :rolleyes:

Yes. and maybe some new levels for DC and caribbean. There's alot of art files included with AA perhaps some of the stuff that wasn't used for the orginal AA episodes can be used for the other additional episodes.

Any save. I tried deleting all saves and create new ones, still crashed. Didn't make a difference which map either, E1L1 crashed just like Area 59. First time I also got an "out of memory" error, the following times just a silent crash.

probably a dumb question but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling eduke?

It's a bug in EDuke32 itself, which I did my best to report in the thread Forge linked above. If using EDuke32 r6978, saving a game, then loading it crashes every time. This does not happen using the included r6969.

I have no idea why the crash doesn't happen in vanilla, although I only checked that in E1L1 so maybe it does crash in vanilla when saving/loading certain maps. Mods such as AA have gamevars and game arrays not present in vanilla and it probably has to do with that.

EDIT: Hey if someone gets a chance in the next few hours, maybe try using the debug build of r6978 and see what happens/what it says. I would but I'm at work.
