I'm assuming most people here have no idea what MBTI is, so have a few links to have a basic idea:
http://www.myersbrig...n-attitudes.htm
https://en.wikipedia..._Type_Indicator

And here is a simple test, in case you're interested:
https://www.16person...ersonality-test

The results may not be accurate for you though, as humans are complex beings. It's said that the Big Five Personality Traits are a bit more reliable
. But you shouldn't really rely on tests like these to define yourself entirely as a person.

INFP here.

My cognitive functions:
Spoiler

What's yours? It would be interesting to see the average type around here. =)

The underlying thought running through the ENTJ mind might be something like "I don't care if you call me an insensitive b*****d, as long as I remain an efficient b*****d".

Yeah, that seems about right. I think you can read what it says if you're bored or something.

Never heard about this one before. It seems interesting though. I'm Sanguine - Phlegmatic, as you could probably tell.
I ain't really a people person though, with my timid introverted nature. I do seek close relationships (with really few people) and interpersonal harmony would be great, but does that really make me a people person?

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

I love this quote.

ENTJs are natural-born leaders. People with this personality type embody the gifts of charisma and confidence, and project authority in a way that draws crowds together behind a common goal. But unlike their Feeling (F) counterpart, ENTJs are characterized by an often ruthless level of rationality, using their drive, determination and sharp minds to achieve whatever end they've set for themselves.

I like your personality.

Bored? Things like that energize me! I love knowing people with the fewest interactions. Also human behavior is quite an interesting topic for me (actually that applies to any living being).

Really? Well, I'm new here and I'm used to people being mostly extroverts (and of course extroversion being highly valued as well) where I live.

ITT: Disgusting sensing types and armchair psychologists

I think it speaks volumes for Duke4's post quality. We've survived for over a decade without an MBTI thread.

It's a simpler matrix to assess people, I think, compared to MBTI (I only learned about it when you posted the thread). It is also not an absolute. Everyone has all character traits within themselves; yet some dominate a little bit or a lot over another.
As for being a people person, timid or not, people like myself do appreciate easy going, fun people. :P

Yeah, MBTI has in total 16 personalities, differentiating themselves in Introversion - Extroversion, iNtuition - Sensing, Thinking - Feeling and Judging - Perceiving. Though it's not really reliable, as your mood affects the tests' results and you can end up getting multiple results being the same person.

Yes, that's true! My Feeling and Thinking are pretty balanced for example, being 53% and 47% respectively. So I'm almost an INTP I guess, as there are some traits I can relate to a lot. I think I'll become an INTP in a near future, I remember my Feeling being bigger than 53% in the past.

I like anyone I can relate to. But I do appreciate talkative, sensing extroverts as they are usually easy going, fun people (Here at least).

The Test said for me that I'm an INFP-A Type.
I don't know what that really means for me since I have never been into the MBTI Personality's until now.

Oh ho! I hope I finally found another INFP (as you are expressing uncertainty). Posted Image

I - Introverted, you are energized when you are alone, in places with fewer stimuli.
N - iNtuitive, you contemplate theories, possibilities, instead of present, here-and-now realities.
F - Feeling, you perceive information and analyze it with your internal system of values.
P - Perceiving, you prefer flexibility, spontaneity and you are better at adapting to situations.

Or, if your prefer:
Fi ( "Introverted Feeling: Seeks harmony of action and thoughts with personal values. May not always articulate those values.")
Ne ( "Extraverted iNtuition : Sees possibilities in the external world, trusts flashes from the unconscious, which can then be shared with others." )
Si ( "Introverted Sensing: Compares present facts and experiences to past experience, trusts the past, stores sensory data for future use." )
Te ( " Extraverted Thinking: Seeks logic and consistency in the outside world, concern for external laws and rules." )

These are the cognitive functions of an INFP.

Ah. Yes, we are getting closer. Changing personalities!
I started with a little handicap, stuttering, and growing up in the JW cult. I was very, very reclusive. Then I started to control my stuttering and volunteered in making speeches in the JW Kingdom Hall. Long story short .... I'm still reclusive, when I get the chance, but can also introduce myself to total strangers and deal with people from all walks of life. Thus, who am I? I'm Hank, still changing.
I think anyone can change to who ever one wants to be, not what the test says one is. :P
