I feel the same way. Almost every video deals with multiplayer even though it only ships with 9 maps while they have this supposedly huge single player campaign.

Honestly I'm glad they aren't spoiling a ton of shit like a lot of other game trailers do.

I think i'd be happy with one more gameplay trailer for SP, hopefully another gameplay slice as long as it doesn't spoil too much because some of the listed levels in the alpha sounded really fucking cool and it would suck if they just showed everything.

Reminds me of when Quake 4 was close to release and they spilled the beans. I won't spoil it myself in case anyone hasn't played it and wants to, but I thought that was stupid for Raven and id to have done.

What did they give away? That augmentation/upgrade incident?

I've seen the sequence on youtube, and quite frankly it hasn't aged very well. It's just the guy repeating a wriggling animation as various other models poke and prod him. IIRC he doesn't even react (in terms of movement) when the machines do their thing. Needs to be much more dynamic.

Yes that. They had a big twist in the story and they spoiled it for everyone.

It wasn't even that shocking back in 2005 either. The aftermath of it, when you're back on the ship, were much more effective imo with your fellow marine buddies commenting on your appearance.

It never had a chance to be though because they were sharing screenshots of it and talking about it. My only guess is that they wanted to hype the game even if that meant spoiling a critical part of the plot for the latter half of the game. It didn't shock me -- if you knew what was coming from the moment you opened the game, it wouldn't shock you.

Also being the Doom thread, if any of you still play Doom 3, we finally got the E3 alpha shotgun mesh into the game. Some of us never ceased being nostalgic for it.

Here is a "BETA TEST" of my first doom map! :whistling:
Play with Doom 2

I basically used it to learn how to do stuff.
Looks like it doesnt work on vanilla doom I played it on Zandronun.

Thanks, this version doesn't leave me stuck in a dead end like the other version.

Noticed a minor bug, the floor in front of this door has the damaging properties applied to it (note God mode is on so I could take a screenshot)
