I really don't see how anyone couldn't be addicted to Wieder's posts. Even if he didn't have the ability to produce, code, map, sound design, etc... he'd STILL be able to support himself via editorials and written comedy. Sometimes I'll just pull up this "interview" for nostalgia's sake.

That is indeed a great deal of what goes on in these sort of threads. Especially ones about games that are clearly trolling in and of themselves.

I can't sustain the intentionally inflaming/provocative persona as long as the pros though and eventually do grow weary of the dance.

Back to what I've done during the other 97.437% of my time around here and be supportive of projects I think are cool and fill in historical info-bits when I can.

Would you care to confirm whether or not Hatred is inspired by the original POSTAL? The guys here at Running With Scissors have been getting a lot of questions about the game. I can tell you that we find the comparisons to be quite fun, and the whole controversy now is certainly reminiscent of the reactions to the original POSTAL in the yesteryear.

New polish article.

According to the devs:

-it's a spiritual successor of Postal 1
-7 large levels
-10 weapons
-"enemies" beside defenseless civilians also include police, SWAT and military
-physics and particles are based on nvidia physx
-the game will be set in real area of NY state, recreated from Google street view
-ESRB rating: Adult Only(most likely)
-health will be regenerated after performing a special "finishing move", the game will have 60(!) types of them

Also the NYPD logo will be absent in the final release after the NYPD contacted the team and requested that they remove it, due to it being a trademarked symbol.
