^^ Operating on the context clues, I'm not sure how anything I posted could be construed as "trolling", given that it was on-topic to what Mad Max RW posted, and was nowhere near as vitriolic or one-sided as some of the other stuff I've seen in this thread, but whatever. I never bothered responding after the second post because by the time I came back, the discussion had already changed into something else entirely.

Yeah, looking back at it, I see your point now. In retrospect, it has more of a point to make about just how crazy the lines are that are being drawn. I dare say though that very little of it actually has anything to do with his policies and more to do with conspiracy theories about birthplaces, crazy visions of a hidden agenda to avenge his Father's death by destroying America from within (that frigging "documentary" film that just came out), or just because he's Black. And while I'm usually not one to EVER say that, because I don't like scapegoating racism for things... that crap has gotten WAY out of hand in recent years in the 'contest to be more victimized than everyone else', but Conservatives have gone completely nuts. And another great example of that is the "Church of Fried Chicken" that just got founded.

No conservative I know actually believes any of that horseshit conspiracy you listed, and I'm amazed that you even brought it up. I'm sure you would agree that there are no rational-thinking liberals that you know of who believe that Bush went to Iraq to artificially raise gas prices and give oil to his Halliburton affiliates.

^^ For whatever it's worth to mention, I knew a lifelong Republican who really, genuinely thought something similar to Red Dawn was going to happen within six months of Obama getting elected. In all fairness, he was a pretty well-adjusted guy beyond that point, but then again, it's Texas after all. We play by different rules down here, so your mileage may vary.

Nobody you know even believes Obama isn't legally able to be a President? Really? That one is pretty danged popular around here, and this is New Jersey, which is a pretty liberal state.

At least what you brought up is about something Bush actually did (going to Iraq). With Obama, nobody ever even needed him to screw up. They found plenty to flip out over without that.

The whole Obama "birther" conspiracy theory originated with Hillary Clinton during the 2008 primaries. Liberals are quick to forget this fact.

Obama screwed up in every possible way and many more ways nobody could have imagined.

I never trusted her anyhow. ;) Though I personally never heard anything about the birth crap until later.

Either way, it that doesn't shock me that nobody remembers it. Reminds me of how Dems were during the Bush vs Kerry election. "If only Bill could run again." Everybody seemed to want to push to change the laws and allow Presidents more than two terms. Their thinking was Clinton could restore the economy, and one of the main ways he would do that was by ending the war, because he's a peacenick. None of them seemed to remember that very shortly after the Lewinsky mess hit the public media, Bill started lobbing very expensive cruise missiles at Iraq.

Because you insist on ignoring reality I quickly compiled a list of failures, missed opportunities, and broken promises:

-2009 Iranian Green Revolution. They begged us for help and we let Iran slaughter its people. Obama ignored the best opportunity to remove Ahmadinejad.
-Never closed Guantanamo Bay
-Never got unemployment under 8%. He specifically said if he didn't achieve this he'd be a one term president. The economy is worse than ever.
-Rammed Obamacare through without majority support
-Promised to cut the deficit in half, instead he nearly doubles it. The highest increase in debt than all the previous presidents going back to George Washington combined.
-Housing market is just as fucked as it was when it first collapsed in 2008. In fact, he is pushing the same shit with giving out millions of bad loans, the reason it collapsed in the first place.
-Kept every single one of Bush's war policies in place. He campaigned as the peace president and even won the Nobel Peace Prize months later.
-Two factually illegal wars in Libya and Yemen. No Congressional approval = illegal. Even Bush got approval for Iraq and Afghanistan.
-Promised he wouldn't have lobbyists working in his administration. LIED
-Promised he wouldn't accept SuperPAC campaign contributions. LIED
-Lobbyists wrote his healthcare law
-Delaying and fucking over the Keystone pipeline for purely political reasons, forcing Canada to deal with China
-Green jobs failure costing the taxpayer billions of dollars we will never see again. Here's a list: Amonix Solar, Solar Trust of America, Bright Source, Solyndra, LSP Energy, Energy Conversion Devices, Abound Solar, SunPower, Beacon Power, Ecotality, A123 Solar, UniSolar, Azure Dynamics, Evergreen Solar, Ener1
-Returning the bust of Churchill to Britain. The one they gave to us after 9/11.
-Campaigning for the Olympics in Chicago. Waste of time and FAILED.
-The 2010 midterm elections. Wiped the floor with him.
-Pandering to Medvedev over missile defense
-Eric Holder (Obama's Attorney General) Refusing to prosecute the New Black Panthers even with video proof of them violating voter rights through intimidation
-Eric Holder and Fast and Furious coverup. Remember people died because of this. Nobody died because of Nixon's Watergate scandal and coverup. Put it in perspective
-Eric Holder sues Arizona for upholding federal immigration laws
-Intelligence leaks from the White House to make Obama look tough. This lead to more deaths and imprisonment of people who helped us find Bin Laden, among other things. Who in the world will help us again?
-actual socialists and card carrying communists in his administration: Carol Browner (Energy Czar/Director), Rosa Brooks (Senior advisor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Michele Flournoy), Ron Bloom (Manufacturing Czar), Van Jones (former Special Advisor for Green Jobs)
-making race relations worse with his "stupidly" comment and stepping into the Travyon Martin/George Zimmerman story.
-getting the Arab Spring totally wrong. Now the Muslim Brotherhood (the originators of all Islamic terrorist groups) runs almost every country in the Middle East.
-Mohamed Elibiary, connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, now works for Homeland Security
-pandering to CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood by removing anything mentioning "radical islam" from the FBI books, and made it a dirty word in DC
-total lack of transparency

I live in Virginia, everyone believes that shit. And of course the war in Iraq was all about money and resources.

Happy birthday President Obama! Today he is celebrating with his 104th round of golf. So he played golf 104 times in less than 4 years. Now let's put that into perspective. During Bush's eight years he played 24 rounds, and stopped entirely after 2003. That didn't stop the mainstream media and the left from screaming about all the golf he was playing. Where are they now?

Actually I don't troll. Certainly looks like Obama has been trolling you though. And your anger just reaches through the screen with just about every sentence you've been typing, which, I realized, fits quite well with your handle (whether its a reference to the film of the same name or not). Hence the phrase, "Max... umad?" Quite clearly, you are, and it reveals itself quite well in how you talk about the President, and call anyone who disagrees with your views, "illiterate." ;)

Sure I have gripes with Obama. But I'm more mad at the douchebag that put us in this mess in the first place. That Obama could, or couldn't accomplish his goals is just as much the fault of the rest of the government as it is his, since Presidents can do extremely little without approval. Seems like the only thing they can actually do on their own is blow up other countries (while all the things that SHOULD be that easy aren't). And when you have a government that would rather see America's credit rating drop, rather than put a tax on the upper class. That doesn't leave much hope for progress. Obama wanted the tax breaks removed. The Republicans wouldn't have any part of it. No, just raise the debt ceiling just like we always have and its back to business as usual.

And don't even bother trying to bring in class warfare or unfairness into what Obama wanted to do. The rich have had it WAY worse than they do now, and that tax increase still would've come nowhere near what the wealthy once paid (and were STILL living in luxury despite it)

Posted Image

As for that ridiculous list you just posted, if that is meant to be another anti-Obama list, it's an epic fail. With the exception of a couple items on the list, it does NOTHING to point to how Obama is actually responsible for all of that, and barely even implies it. You would've at least been better off posting the paragraph at the beginning, which implies it's an attack on Obama's supposed belief that everything is A-OK in the economy, which from what I can tell, all stems from a single sentence he uttered at a single press conference last month.

As for ignoring the previous one... did you write that up yourself or did you get it from somewhere? I had considered responding to it, but quickly decided that considering this thread is already spitting out flames, typing out 5 pages to respond to each of those allegations is just a complete waste of time. And you've already demonstrated that you're going to hate him unless he mystically solves all the nation's problems in the next couple of months. You rage about his golf rounds, and then show me a list that involves raging about a production of Sesame Street. Really? Comeon, I'm sure we can find something even more petty to fight about. Feel free to make some cliche stereotypes about New Jersey while you're at it.

So instead of acknowledging FACTS you simply dismiss them. Typical liberal response. You're living in a dream world. A house of cards. And it is all collapsing. Obama and the entire Democratic party will implode on itself because people like you think it's easier to blame somebody else for your failures. Try growing a pair by doing the hard work and taking some responsibility. History is going to look back at this time and laugh at you.

Ask yourself this: why do we need to raise taxes on the "rich"? What will it do? Pay off the debt? You know if the tax rate was raised to 100% of their income it would take centuries to put a dent in it. So what's the real reason? We already have the highest tax rate in the world with all the businesses leaving. You just parrot the same nonsense talking points without knowing what any of it really means. Another talking point I hear from liberals is the debt doesn't matter. In that case why not abolish all taxes? If we don't need to pay for anything and none of it truly matters. Why tax?

I want to reply to your little graph. You do realize the full historical context, right? The tax rate was so high because our economy was booming after WW2. Nobody else in the world was manufacturing like the US. But then as regulations were piled on the manufacturing left, so taxes dropped. Now the dollar is worthless and regulations are bankrupting businesses that haven't gone overseas.
