I get variable input lag in the mouse, strange screen distortion and framerate drops here and there. It has a really gross jittery look to it. Turning off v-sync tremendously reduces the input lag but it still has awful performance issues. I've tried different resolutions/settings to no avail. My system should also be more than capable of handling it, and I have no problems with EDuke32 or BloodGDX (as well as plenty of modern games, I have a 1060 GTX 6GB).
Any advice would be appreciated, cheers.

Disable vsync in-game and configure vsync in your driver settings. This made the game much more smoother for me.

I have the exact same graphics card and suffer the same problems. EDuke32 works fluidly. Shadow Warrior Redux doesn't. Have you tried running in borderless screen ? This greatly improves performance although still is far from perfect.

I'll try it out m80 cheers.
Funny thing is my old piece of shit laptop from 2009 used to run Shadow Warrior Redux like a dream. Meanwhile on my new system it runs really bad.
