Oh man, this part from Allied Assault always gets me.
And to think it was made by the folks who made Call of Duty. While CoD today works very differently from MoH:AA, I say Infinity Ward still got that cinematic flair.
I heard there was quite the modding community and multiplayer scene back then too, but I think it fade out by the time CoD4:MW came.

Both PS1 entries have taken up my nights recently. I really loved mohaa. It felt like a next generation moh. But the PS2/GC/XBOX games were not that great.

The original MoH's soundtrack, especially the main theme, is amazing.
It also had a really good commercial

I don't think I will every forget the "feeling" of playing through the PS1 Medal of Honor... while I was used to superior graphics on the PC at the time, the whole gameplay experience completely overshadowed the PS1 Graphics Quality. I had a relatively small TV I was gaming on at the time anyway, so it wasn't "brutal" graphically anyway. Actually my PS1s are hooked to an excellent late 90's era 21" ProScan. The picture is perfect for this era of gaming.
Then Frontline hit like a ton of bricks... Love that game also.

That mission was really hard too, especially at the end with the rocket cannons.

But it's the very first mission?
Edit: Mixed this up with MOH: Frontline

I don't think it is difficult at all. I just think they made it super hectic which is so distracting at first. If you Play it without sound, for example, you might see what I mean. I only died on that mission because I didn't follow my commanding officer or was trying to explore the beach under all that fire.

The death toll was unbelievably high, yes.
