As you probably know, the offices of 3D Realms these days reside in Aalborg, Denmark. This is a relatively new development, as the owners of Interceptor Entertainment bought the company known for such titles as Duke Nukem, Max Payne, Wolfenstein 3D, and many many others. We've decided to take a look back at the history of the offices that made up 3D Realms. We enlisted long timer Joe Siegler to write about this relatively unknown part of the company. This will be a series of articles (from 1987 through 2015). This first part focuses on the original base of operations, the former home of Scott Miller's parents in Garland, TX

If Bombshell is a huge hit, you really need to look into recreating the nuke tile for the new 3DRealms offices, even if its a mini version

This is great. Looking forward to the piece on the 90s thru 2002 office, where Duke3D and the E3 2001 DNF build were made.

Fresch, I really like what you, the rest of Interceptor, past 3DR employees, and members of this forum are doing to keep 3DR's alive.

OH MAN. Was that GeorgieB rocking the Eclipse? Buy a real sports car, not something with FWD and a tampon holder in the glove box.

Wow, thanks for sharing all of that. It's magical.

I have so many wonderful memories of getting one of those boxes, opening it and playing the game. It brought it all back to see you guys packing them up. I had no idea that it was all done directly by the employees of 3DR!

Thank you Joe for sharing the pics and your memories and giving us a feel of what it was like to be there when these games were created.
