FreeRunner PART 1 - TUTORIAL
Make sure you activate Subtitles for "Dev commentary"
Spanish and English subtitles
Hello guys.
As some of you might remember (or not) I used to be involved in a MOD called "FreeRunner" which was a Parkour/Freerunning type of game.
I was in charge of the Game and Level design and Trooper Dan was the CON code guy.
Eventually the project was abandoned by me and then left to rot in my HD.
Now After giving it some thought, I decided to show some playthroughs of the mod with the maps I've finished, in the order they would've been if the MOD was finished.
Remember this was in a time when Polymer didn't exist, so I had to fake all the shadows.
So I'll just leave the first map here, the tutorial map, and I'll be releasing the following maps in the next couple of days. I might upload another map tonight.
I'll be adding dev commentaries in the subtitles, so make sure you've got them turned on.
I hope you all like it, thanks.

I remember waitng for this mod for many years when I first saw the trailer. It can be a great HRP stuff, just like WGRealms2 (like it was in the first trailer too).
Thanks for this future video(s), anyway.

It looked like a real nice demonstration of Duke Plus features. Reminds me a lot of Quake III training maps / Defrag mod too, only no rocket jumps.
Are you planning to eventually finish it or it's really over ?

Well I don't remember this but it looks pretty fun, and it's quite strange that I was watching videos of free running just yesterday on youtube. But anyway looks really cool Duke is a King he does all things even free running lol pretty cool how he can grip along edges/ledges of walls and wall kick like Mario does.

I'm glad you posted the videos, DavoX. In this day and age, you can probably get more people to watch them than would actually play the game

Nah i dont think so. There arent much views so they'll probably want to play it instead.
Playing the game after all these years was really strange. Like playing someone else's mod. I didnt remember much! And i actually liked it despite dying so much. Kinda like those really hard games like super meat boy were you die a lot but want to keep trying.
Now that i think about it a super meat boy mod would be awesome to make and a gpod excuse to come back to modding:D

I remember that by the time I joined AMC you were working on this mod. Now at least you have some tangible material for the audience. It´s not the same than playing it, but feels better than it dying on your HD. I can´t imagine myself finishing it, I remember trying an alpha you sent and it was frustrating, but the environments and the shading were good, a bit bare due to the lack of models though.

The intention was to decorate but not so much. As the levels were meant to be some kind of virtual arena. There had to be some kind of contrast between the virtual and "real life" for the player. Real life sections would include much more detail and decorations.
Im in santa teresita right now so i cant make long posts

It´s a pretty stupid question TBH. You only need to read the first post.

Not really..
If he's abandoned it he should release what he got done.
Other people might be able to make use of it.

Thanks for ignoring my question.
I didn't ignore you. I was away on holidays at the beach for a week.
I'm don't really think I'll release this as it is.
