Could Interceptor develop the other 2 Duke Trilogy Games?

I've often wondered that since Interceptor is now teamed up with Apogee and Apogee still has the rights to the other 2 Duke games in the Duke Trilogy (Chain Reaction and Proving Grounds), could Interceptor possibly develop the other 2 Duke Nukem Trilogy titles and Apogee release them? (After ROTT of course)

The contract that Apogee has with the Duke Trilogy is that they can only be "Console only" Duke games, in that case I personally would like to see another 3rd Person Shooter like Time to Kill, Zero Hour or Land of the Babes because TTK and LOTB are 2 of my all time favorite Duke games and even though I havnt finished Zero Hour yet, I'm really liking it a lot.

(I know a lot of people on here really dont like Interceptor which is kinda the reason I've refrained from posting this here, but here is where all the Duke fans are so I wanna hear the thoughts.)

I wouldn't be against it, but I honestly wouldn't expect it to happen.

Those other two games just... Aren't. They never will be either. Not as intended.

The idea was a sound one. Create a narrative, build an engine alongside the first game, reuse the engine and some/most assets for rapid sequel generation. Score. Lots of profit. Plenty of content. Everyone wins.

Fucked it all up.

Could Interceptor do it? Maybe. But they are basically UDK hounds, i'm not sure if they could redo what was being done in a completely different fashion on portable systems.

Plus, I think, it would better for them to just start over with the concept. Duke Nukem Trilogy for PS3. Start with CM, go to CR, then PG.

Regardless of my opinion of Interceptor, I don't see it happening. CM was a clusterfuck.

Yeah, there's not really a whole lot to build onto. I don't know the details of the contract, maybe they could do a whole different Duke game, but I don't think their budget would allow for building a new game from the ground up.

Indeed.

I reckon they should finish what they started. They won't as CM wasn't great etc. but I think it should happen.

As Commando says "Everyone Wins" and that's true everyone would win if they did.

Reread my post please. I wasn't talking about the future possibility. I was talking about the initial idea. They fucked it up and would need to start from scratch.

I don't think anyone wins when a shitty game is made, I'm glad I don't subscribe to your reality.

Every good game wins from all the shit that's coming out.

After what happened with Reloaded, I don't see them running back to the franchise with open arms. Yeah, it would be nice though.

ANYTHING would be nice at this stage.

I'd be all for this myself. I would much rather see the Duke Nukem Trilogy on consoles rather than handheld consoles. That's assuming they really could develop the Trilogy on consoles. All that was said is that they can't develop the Trilogy for PC, so it's still uncertain.

When cleaning up my Duke folders recently I came across something which some of you might have missed to read back then. For the records:

Looking more and more like that's the end of any aspirations for doing anything modern with Duke. Gearbox are going to be douches and not release any SDK's in the future and any other modding activity will get a C&D. That's it folks.
