You packaged the full game data. As such, I have removed your link.

You need to include only the files that you have changed. Put them in a folder and use the Custom game content directory in the startup window.

I recently resumed work on my adventure type map for WGR2. I'm adding a ton of NPC's that will have something to say as you pass them by while completing your assigned quests.

Some were fine as is. Others had to be downsized or pixelated and the colors desaturated. They aren't as consistant as I would like, but they look good enough. I have about 45 of them so far.

With the help of a friend.

I added selection in my mod (similar to Super Metroid) to disable/enable addons
Selection menu is pretty cool (way it appears)

An example of the menu I added.
Has one weapon in the list to show what it's like, the enhancer for the pistol.

In the menu if you select something isn't there it makes like tritritri sound it means the slot is empty.

Expert mode stuff, been wanting to show an use case or two for a while now.



Just one of the possible examples that can be done.
Possibilities are huge and largely unexplored.
This even works with rotating sectors and other things that carry sprites around.

Gotta be careful about corruption though !

I can remember Lezing using these tricks on his map LPT, but it's nice to see a video that shows how they actually work.

Just a minor nitpick. I think it should be "at" instead of "by". Either one will work though.

Don't think so, but I actually watched it before starting designing the levels, to get inspired. Didn't help. It looks stunning for its time, but it's not the kind of inspiration I was looking for.

The 1984 version of Metropolis on the other hand...

Skybox for an AMC TC map. Likely a small secret/side level in episode 3 (or episode 4 Posted Image)

Still not sure what kind of map I'd want to do with it, but I've been meaning to do some kind of night club/pleasure resort section of a map at some point, so maybe I'll just do that for this out in space. Wow at first I thought it was going to be a reference to Halo with a circular shaped Night Club but I don't think it would be possible with Build since it doesn't handle gravity shifts ^^

If you plan it to be a secret level it might be a good idea not to make it a gimmick map like Doom Disco unless the gimmick is different and given the weird look of your screen it sounds like it's already a good job on the road ^_-

It won't be a gimmick map any more than Oilrig or Hidden Dojo were gimmicks in Episode 2 Posted Image
However the skybox will be more for show rather than having weird gravity involved like you said.


I probably spent much more time on that skybox than James did on Doom Disco, in fact I'd bet money on that Posted Image
