I think its a good thing, because now Sam is working on Evil Dead 4, and thats gonna be way better than another Spider Man movie from him.

Yes, it is good. Very, very good. Spider Man 3 was shit. Sam Raimi was losing creative control to the producers. You would not have gotten another Spider Man 2. There's a reason Raimi walked, its because they werent letting him do what he needed to as the director. IE: It's a good thing that he pulled his pillar from the franchise to go do his own thing. The series was going downhill from where it left off.

Yes I agree with that. BUT even though Spider-Man 3 was shit, it is acually more Raimi's fault then the studio, because they only mandated that Venom be in the film (which is great) HOWEVER Raimi was the one who miscast and unnecessairly redesigned Venom, ordered a good screen writer to retcon the origin etc. etc. (but I sound two-faced saying that as Raimi did an AMAZING job on the second one and good job on the first one.)
